Job Summary:

The AWS Certified Welding Inspector will be responsible for performing quality inspections of welds in accordance with AWS D1.1 and D1.5 standards. This includes evaluating the quality of welds, identifying defects, and implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality inspections of welds in accordance with AWS D1.1 and D1.5 standards
  • Evaluate the quality of welds and identify defects
  • Implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and safety standards are met
  • Develop and maintain quality control procedures and protocols
Requirements:
  • Valid AWS CWI certification preferred but not required
  • NDE Level II in UT
  • Demonstrated experience performing quality inspection of welds in accordance with AWS D1.1 and D1.5 standards
  • Currently located within 60 commutable miles from Highland Park, NJ
  • Access and ability to operate a personal computer utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel, the internet, and email
  • Valid driver's license
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Authorized to work in the United States, sponsorship not available
Physical Requirements:
  • Physical activity includes: climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, grasping, talking, hearing, and standing for sustained periods of time
  • Exerting up to 20 lbs. occasionally and up to 10 lbs. frequently
  • Visual acuity requirements include color and depth perception, and field of vision
