Job Overview

As an Experienced Class A CDL Truck Operator with TransForce, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and retrieval of trench-related shoring equipment to and from various job sites. This role demands strict adherence to safety protocols as mandated by relevant transportation regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company vehicles in a professional manner.
  • Adhere to all applicable transportation regulations regarding vehicle operation, including:
  • Conducting thorough vehicle inspections at the start and end of each shift, reporting any issues identified.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic logs of driving hours.
  • Ensuring all driver credentials are current and valid.
  • Complying with routine and random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Securing loads in accordance with company and DOT regulations.
  • Reporting any accidents involving the vehicle or equipment to management.
  • Delivering and picking up shoring and plates from job sites multiple times daily.
  • Occasionally loading and unloading equipment at customer locations.
  • Assembling and disassembling shoring equipment on-site as needed.
  • Maintaining proper documentation for all deliveries.
  • Utilizing driving skills to navigate various terrains and conditions.
  • Communicating effectively with branch management regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
  • Following all customer safety protocols while on job sites.
  • Assisting with yard operations and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Providing training assistance to customers on the safe use of shoring equipment.
  • Reporting any damage to rental equipment identified during pickups.
  • Being available for customer needs, including occasional after-hours support.
  • Keeping the vehicle clean and ensuring it is well-maintained.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to secure loads safely and effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to foster positive customer relationships.
  • Positive attitude with the capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Quick learner with attention to detail and openness to feedback.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years of experience driving vehicles requiring a Class A Commercial Driver's License.
  • Current Class A Commercial Driver's License issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles.
  • Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate as per FMCSR requirements.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification as necessary.
