Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pulmonary and Critical Care physician to lead our division as Chief. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, clinical expertise, and a passion for teaching and research. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing academic practice and contribute to the development of expertise in medical education, complex care, quality, and safety, and health service research.

Responsibilities
The Chief will be responsible for the overall direction and management of the Pulmonary and Critical Care division, including clinical services, education, and research. Key responsibilities will include:
  • Expanding and developing the division's clinical programs
  • Teaching and mentoring students, housestaff, and fellows
  • Conducting research and publishing scholarly articles
  • Developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives

Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary and Critical Care
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Pulmonary/Critical Care/Sleep Fellowship program
  • Ability to obtain a medical license in the state of Alabama

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $250,000 - $350,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
