St. Luke's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
Key Responsibilities- Perform waived, moderate, and highly complex laboratory tests according to established protocols.
- Operate laboratory instrumentation and recognize instrument malfunction.
- Perform routine tests in other laboratory sections as assigned.
- Phlebotomy duties as assigned.
- Monitor inventory of supplies and report low volume to Technical Coordinator/Lead Technologist.
- Accurately transcribe test results or enter results into the laboratory information system.
- Follow established policies regarding proper documentation of critical values, reagent lot numbers, and other quality assurance data.
- Recognize and notify supervisors and/or Technical Coordinators/Lead Technologists of technical problems.
- Attend continuing education or training sessions to meet minimum standards of accrediting agencies.
- Demonstrate competency in assigned areas of responsibilities.
- MLT (ASCP) or equivalent.
- Successful completion of an accredited MLT program or equivalent work experience.
