**Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgery Unit, with a focus on those requiring telemetry monitoring.
* Utilize telemetry equipment to continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, identifying any abnormalities and taking prompt action when necessary.
* Conduct thorough patient assessments, document patient information accurately, and maintain up-to-date medical records. Report changes in patient condition to the healthcare team.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring proper dosage, route, and patient education.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, including physicians, surgeons, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
* Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care plans to promote optimal health outcomes.
* Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean patient care environment.
* Respond effectively to emergencies, including code situations, by following established protocols and providing appropriate nursing care.
* Stay current with advances in nursing practice, attend continuing education programs, and actively participate in departmental meetings and training.

**Qualifications:**

* Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as an RN in a medical surgery unit with telemetry expertise.
* BLS and ACLS certifications required.
* Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
* Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
