Domestic Violence Advocate PRN

We are a dynamic team at the YWCA of Van Wert County, dedicated to providing support services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Domestic Violence Advocate PRN.

This part-time position offers flexibility, with 24 hours worked on weekends and additional hours during the week as needed. You will be responsible for providing advocacy services to residents, monitoring facility safety, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the living spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advocacy services to residents, including emotional support and guidance
• Monitor resident safe hours and ensure the security of the facility
• Conduct daily well checks for cleanliness and communicate with residents regarding any issues
• Track resident contributions and create weekly charts
• Solicit, organize, and inventory community donations
• Oversee the Resource Room, including the media center and resident store
• Issue and track resident point reward system
• Assist with YWCA functions as needed
• Document all incoming telephone calls and community contacts
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bedrooms, commons area, and office space
• Ensure compliance with Human Service guidelines protecting the safety and well-being of children
• Comply with agency policies, program rules, and safety rules
• Report incidents affecting the health, safety, and welfare of residents or staff

Requirements:

1. H.S. Diploma required; college courses in social services preferred

Estimated Salary: $25-$30 per hour (dependent on education and experience)
