LPN - Graduate Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre)

Geisinger Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Inpatient Graduate Program at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. As a valued member of our team, you will contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, promoting adaptive responses to achieve the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Contribute to patient assessments, addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs throughout the continuum of care.
- Reinforce patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning throughout hospitalization.
- Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, according to policy and procedure.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and plan of care based on patient response to interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members to proactively resolve and facilitate patient needs.
- Participate in unit-based decision-making regarding the utilization of evidence-based practice.
- Provide input to the manager for performance appraisals of care delivery team members.
- Precept and mentor new staff and students in a professional, positive manner as assigned.
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
- Basic Life Support Certification and Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
- Excellent communication, computer literacy, customer service, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
