About the Role

1872 Consulting is seeking an experienced Knowledge Management Analyst to join our team as a Knowledge Management Specialist for the Healthcare industry. This role will involve optimizing knowledge management processes to enhance operational efficiency for attorneys and support business development efforts.

Job Description
  • Strategy and Analysis:
    • Work closely with the Healthcare KM Partner, KM Manager, and Practice Leadership to analyze and create strategic initiatives for optimal results.
    • Develop and implement procedures to meet the needs of the practice and establish a method for consistent review of the strategy.
    • Communicate regularly with the KM Manager and KM Lawyers at the firm to share best practices.
  • Organization and Dissemination of Knowledge:
    • Work with the Healthcare Practice KM Partner and members of the Healthcare Practice group to evaluate the practice's current KM-related efforts and identify new projects that contribute to efficiency.
    • Generate knowledge content and facilitate sharing of information between Healthcare Practice group lawyers.
    • Maintain a searchable knowledge repository with key laws, regulations, and materials.
    • Maintain procedures for generating, maintaining, updating, accessing, and disseminating information.
  • Management of Legal Processes:
    • Collaborate with the KM Manager to develop workflow improvements for common legal processes.
    • Assist in business development efforts, including compiling and making available client pitch materials.
    • Establish legal project management processes to track information throughout the matter lifecycle.
  • Identification of Current Developments and Trends:
    • Monitor, inform, and update the Healthcare Practice group on important legal and industry developments.
    • Identify legal or business trends and suggest innovative methods to deliver services effectively.
    • Draft and collect external thought leadership materials.
  • Lawyer Training and Technology Evaluation:
    • Assist in developing and presenting training on KM technology platforms.
    • Evaluate, test, and deploy innovative technology to reduce manual data collection and automate document creation.

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with experience in knowledge management, particularly in the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of professional experience in a related field. Familiarity with relevant federal agencies, healthcare laws and regulations, and experience using Foundation, Lexis, and other similar databases and resources are highly desirable.

Benefits

This is a full-time position based in Chicago, IL, requiring 3 days onsite in the loop and 2 days remote work per week. We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000-$105,000 per year, depending on experience, along with benefits and opportunities for growth and development.
