Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Critical Care team at ChristianaCare. The successful candidate will be responsible for caring for critically ill patients with complex cardiac conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, and participating in daily patient-focused rounds.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Care for critically ill patients with complex cardiac conditions, including those requiring invasive hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in daily patient-focused rounds to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
- Collaborate with the coronary care multidisciplinary team, which includes cardiologists and medical residents, as well as the cardiac surgery multidisciplinary team, inclusive of attending surgeons and PA's.
Requirements
- BSN required or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire.
- Must have experience caring for high acuity patients.
- At least two years of stepdown experience required.
- Previous critical care experience preferred.
- BLS required.
- ACLS and cardiac dysrhythmia proficiency required.
- Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware.
