Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Tech II to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care services, including bathing, oral hygiene, and skin care, to ensure the comfort and hygiene needs of patients are met.
  • Assist with completion of patient testing and treatment procedures, such as setting up IV tubing and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
  • Distribute meals and beverages, take vital signs, and collect lab specimens as needed.
  • Assist with ambulating patients and transfer/transport procedures, using assistive devices such as crutches when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care and meet regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification
  • Completion of a Nursing Assistant Program with placement on the Illinois Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry or verification of an equal or higher educational level in a clinically focused program
