Job Summary

The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Labor and Delivery department, with a focus on mother-baby care, newborn care, antenatal patients, and gynecological services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery department
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Monitor and maintain accurate patient records and reports
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Qualifications
  • Active Kentucky registered nurse license or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky
  • Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • All new graduate RNs will participate in the nurse residency program and successfully complete all activities as required
  • All new-hire Associate degree registered nurses (new graduate and experienced) are required to start an approved BSN program within one (1) year of hire and complete an approved BSN program within three (3) years of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
  • One (1) year of nursing experience in specialty area
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) if experienced RN
