Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic Specialist

At US Foods, Inc., we are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel equipment, ensuring compliance with preventative maintenance standards.

The estimated salary for this role is $28-$33 per hour, depending on experience. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with diesel equipment, including tractors and trailers
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with company standards
• Completing documentation of all repair orders and PM lists
• Handling road service calls and performing road rescue/transport equipment as needed

You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, complying with workplace safety rules and regulations, and government guidelines.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs
• Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations pertaining to the shop and fleet
• Reefer experience preferred

A CDL A and DOT certification is preferred but not required.
