Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic Specialist

At US Foods, Inc., we are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel equipment, ensuring compliance with preventative maintenance standards.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is $28-$33 per hour, depending on experience. Job DescriptionYour primary responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with diesel equipment, including tractors and trailers
- Performing preventative maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with company standards
- Completing documentation of all repair orders and PM lists
- Handling road service calls and performing road rescue/transport equipment as needed
You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, complying with workplace safety rules and regulations, and government guidelines.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs
- Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations pertaining to the shop and fleet
- Reefer experience preferred
A CDL A and DOT certification is preferred but not required.
