We are launching people to the Moon and Mars at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. If you want to be part of this amazing mission, we would love to have you as part of our team responsible for designing and implementing electrical control systems.

The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical design engineering to create and modify hardware and provide automation throughout the Kennedy Ground Control System.
  • Demonstrate moderate to above-average working knowledge in applicable industry engineering standards and be able to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
  • Lead engineering projects and assign tasks to peers with the group.
  • Support technical presentations to management and customers.
Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in engineering or technical equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • At least ten (10) years of relevant experience in electrical engineering design, including experience with Alan Bradley PLCs.
  • Experience in product lifecycle systems and the ability to develop and perform oversight of technical evaluations, engineering, calculations, and requirements reviews.
  • Familiarity with control panel design, including system level components specification and integration.
  • Working knowledge of industry design standards such as UL508A and NFPA 70.
  • Ability to create, support, and present technical presentations to management and customers.
  • Ability to lead design initiatives and demonstrate strong communication between teams and in internal and external meetings.
Work Environment

This position is located on a hazardous testing facility and requires occasional overtime, including weekend work, depending on task. You must be dependable and punctual and be able to travel to support position requirements.

Compensation

$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
