Budd Lake, New Jersey, United States Glow Networks Full time
Position Overview

Role Summary:

We are in search of a seasoned Risk Management Analyst specializing in AI to conduct comprehensive assessments of third-party AI systems. This role is integral to our initiative aimed at establishing a centralized Enterprise AI Risk Management Framework to comply with both regulatory standards and internal governance protocols. The framework will encompass various components, including but not limited to, AI inventory oversight, risk management throughout the AI lifecycle—spanning initiation, development, validation, deployment, monitoring, modification, and retirement. The management of third-party AI inventories and associated risks is a critical aspect of this framework.

As an AI Risk Management Analyst, you will be tasked with staying abreast of evolving AI regulatory landscapes (such as the EU AI Act) and collaborating with subject matter experts at client sites to ensure accurate documentation of their global AI applications and effective risk mitigation strategies. You will lead and facilitate the project in close partnership with the client's third-party risk management team and relevant external parties. The framework will be implemented in phases, including:

  • Designing the architecture
  • Creating and maintaining a global AI inventory, including the conversion of existing AI/model inventories
  • Establishing governance functions for AI/models (e.g., submission, validation, approval processes, and assessments related to data privacy, security, and intellectual property)
  • Implementing tracking and reporting mechanisms

Key Responsibilities:

This role will focus on third-party AI risk evaluation and its integration into the Enterprise AI Risk Management Framework. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with third-party vendors and the client's cross-functional teams to gather and document AI use cases, ensuring compliance with regulatory risk definitions (e.g., identifying and reporting high-risk AI applications)
  • Conducting thorough gap analyses and proposing scalable solutions by leveraging existing resources effectively to minimize redundancy
  • Initiating and leading meetings with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on the framework's functionalities (including GUI design and governance logic flow)
  • Drafting governance guidelines or procedures for third-party AI, including protocols for addressing inquiries from regulators, clients, and auditors
  • Testing the system during and after development to ensure proper integration and functionality, documenting all test results, critical stakeholder decisions, and rationales
  • Communicating any identified bugs or design issues promptly to relevant stakeholders and assisting engineers and product managers in timely resolutions
  • Proactively managing the project to ensure timely delivery

Qualifications:

  • A graduate degree (bachelor's or master's) in a relevant field such as business, management, or information systems
  • A solid understanding of machine learning features/data and risk management throughout the AI/model lifecycle
  • Experience in third-party AI/model risk management, with a preference for candidates with Generative AI expertise
  • Exceptional technical writing skills for drafting and maintaining essential documents, including business requirement documents, meeting notes, presentations, and project updates
  • Outstanding communication abilities to effectively convey business objectives, challenges, findings, and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality results independently and within a team setting
  • A motivated learner with the capability to research, understand, and apply advanced technical and non-technical skills related to AI/models
  • Strong relationship-building skills to ensure effective engagement with both internal and external stakeholders
