Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio is an equal opportunity employer. We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide clinical care to our elderly residents at Maple Crest. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our Clinical Support Team to deliver high-quality care and support the autonomy and dignity of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical care to residents in accordance with state and federal guidelines, nursing standards of practice, and Maple Crest nursing policies and procedures.
- Obtain daily updates on each resident's condition and provide a daily nursing report.
- Visit each resident during each shift to monitor their clinical status and determine if their care needs are being met.
- Administer and document treatments and medications, and work cooperatively with the Elder Assistant and Clinical Support Team.
- Participate in care planning, monitor the adequacy of the care plan, and review compliance with and update the care plan as needed.
- Identify and report changes in residents' conditions to the attending physician, family, or designated contact person.
- Act as a role model in the implementation of MHCO/Maple Crest policies and OSHA Standard Precautions.
- Current LPN license in the State of Ohio.
- Ability to recognize the autonomy and dignity of all residents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Clinical Support Team and other healthcare professionals.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and creativity in providing care to residents.
