The Cardiac Imaging Technologist, under the guidance of the Medical Director and/or Section Head, along with the manager and Radiologist, executes technical procedures and aids in the clinical assessment and care of patients.

This professional employs their specialized modality to generate diagnostic images while ensuring a safe and positive experience for patients.

In modalities that produce radiation, technologists adhere to and enforce the radiation safety protocols as mandated by the New York State Department of Health.

Technologists also promote education and continuous learning as technology evolves for themselves and their colleagues.

Salary Range:
Min. $21.78/hr - Max. $34/hr

Key Responsibilities:
Actively participate in all stages of the peri-procedural process.
Manipulate procedural instruments under the direct oversight of the Interventional Cardiologist.
Accountable for the supplies and equipment required during invasive cardiology procedures.
Anticipate the needs of the Interventional Cardiologist.
Maintain vigilance for the upkeep of the sterile field.

Capable of functioning independently for basic procedures and with minimal supervision from a senior technologist in the scrub role during advanced and complex procedures, while also serving as a circulator under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).

This position requires emergency on-call responsibilities.

Educational Requirements:
Associate's degree in Medical Imaging from an accredited institution.

Certification through successful completion of the ARRT registry examination.
