POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for producing high-quality MRI images under the clinical oversight of a Radiologist. Ensures a safe environment for patients and engages in various essential activities to support departmental functions.

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Requirements: Must be ARRT certified, have completed a formal training program in MRI Technology, and possess AART-MRI certification or obtain it within 6 months. BLS certification is also required.

Preferred Qualifications: An Associate Degree in Radiography is desirable.

ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: The incumbent must exhibit the ability to apply age-appropriate communication and technical practices relevant to patients across all age groups, including neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

Furthermore, the incumbent must demonstrate proficiency in the operation of equipment and the application of procedures prior to performing independently.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

Supervisory Responsibilities: None. May offer guidance and support to radiography students and new staff during training.

May provide input regarding technical competence but holds no authority over personnel decisions.

Reports To: Radiologist(s) for clinical direction and the Supervisor of CT/MRI for operational and administrative matters.
