CNC Technologist / Programmer Opportunity at Manufacturing Company, Inc.

We are seeking a talented, reliable, and motivated CNC technologist/programmer to join our manufacturing team. In this capacity, you will be responsible for part programming, tool selection, job setup, and operation within a small lot machining and research & development environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of technical drawings and sketches, along with a solid background in CNC turning; experience with Mazak and Okuma's conversational programming would be a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret intricate prints to program and machine a variety of materials (primarily stainless steel and common plastics) using our Haas vertical mills and Mazak CNC turning centers.
• Make necessary adjustments to work/tool offsets.
• Independently select and prepare tooling and fixtures/jaws.
• Oversee part runs throughout the machining cycle and after completion to ensure adherence to specifications and tolerances.
• Utilize standard machine shop measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, and ID/OD micrometers effectively.
• Provide training and support to team members as needed.
• Execute any additional tasks as assigned by the Production Manager.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification from a technical institution is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining, with a primary focus on CNC turning.
• Comprehensive knowledge of lathe and mill tooling/inserts.
• Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and sketches based on verbal instructions.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills for cross-departmental projects.
