Mission Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team. As a CVICU RN, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients requiring cardiovascular surgery and interventions.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the CVICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
- Current RN licensure in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in CVICU or CVRU.
- ACLS and BLS certification required.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients.
The CVICU at Mission Hospital is a 19-bed unit with a 1:2 or 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, providing a dynamic and challenging work environment. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and outcomes, and we are seeking a skilled RN to join our team.
