Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Atlantic Medical Imaging in the Manahawkin, NJ office. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating MRI scanning units, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with radiologists to implement proper scanning protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI scanning units, incorporating extensive knowledge of systems, computer, and program modalities to perform scanning procedures and transfer images to film or software for interpretation.
- Evaluate screening to ensure patient safety in the magnetic field.
- Consult with radiologists and implement proper scanning protocols as directed.
- Complete daily work schedule, documenting in Zotec and on any required forms.
- Monitor patient flow and accommodate unscheduled patients and add-on studies.
- Perform quality control testing, equipment calibrations, warm-up, and shut-down procedures with proper documentation.
- Advise the Chief Technologist/Office Administrator of the need for maintenance, service, and repair work.
- Participate in office meetings, in-service programs, continuing education programs, and other designated activities.
- Respond to office codes, policies, and procedures to ensure optimum patient, employee, visitor, and physical plant safety and security.
- Demonstrate competency in dealing with patients in all age categories: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- MR Board Certified.
- Current and valid CPR/BLS certification prior to start of employment.
- Training and certification in venipuncture for the injection of contrast media via butterfly needle and IV catheter.
Work Environment: This is a Per Diem position with varying shift coverage based in the AMI Manahawkin, NJ office location.
