Fleet Maintenance Specialist Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on vehicles and equipment, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve maintenance goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest maintenance techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
  • Current and valid driver's license.
  • Annual Inspector Certification, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.
  • Brake Inspector Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities.
  • ASE certifications; Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks (Preferred, Not Required).
  • 609 HVAC Certification.

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines.
  • Occasional exposure to wet, hot, extreme cold and/or humid conditions.
  • Occasional exposure to high, precarious places and confined spaces.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
