Cultivation Specialist

Cultivation Specialists at DACUT are responsible for executing daily tasks in Flower or Veg Rooms with full efficiency and attention to detail. This role requires previous experience in a regulated horticulture environment, preferably with a background in production management in comparable agriculture industries. The successful candidate will take direction from the Team Lead and Head Grower, working directly with other support staff to comply with daily production maintenance and plant health procedures throughout the flower phase. This position will also work with other support staff to comply with cloning, feeding, and phase change procedures, including METRC and data inputs.

Responsibilities
  • Execute all aspects of cultivation-related SOPs without direct supervision or oversight.
  • Report all irregularities or variances from the SOPs to the Head Grower.
  • Perform all assigned tasks to completion each day.
  • Monitor various aspects of plant health, including signs of disease or infestation, and communicate any issues discovered to the Head Grower and apply necessary IPM applications as needed.
  • Understand all aspects of plant tracking and maintain the ability to manage all plant tags in full compliance with CRA rules and regulations.
  • Understand and work within the full range of regulatory compliance requirements and/or prohibitions.
  • Accurately fill out and maintain up-to-date paperwork, such as room maps, waste logs, and harvest logs as needed.

Requirements
  • Prior experience or knowledge in greenhouse management, landscape maintenance, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Familiarity with growing techniques and irrigation systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate well with colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks meticulously.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as required.
