About the Role:
We seek a skilled Primary Care Physician Lead to join our dynamic team at OptumCare. As a key member of our organization, you will lead comprehensive Medicare yearly wellness exams for seniors, providing limited primary care services. With flexibility in clinic hours and locations, you'll have the opportunity to work with an elite team of Advanced Practice Clinician specialists. The ideal candidate will possess over three years of experience in providing Medicare yearly exams under a Global Risk/Medicare Advantage Model. Your expertise in coding and documentation, along with your ability to teach others, will be invaluable assets to our team.
What We Offer:
Our competitive salary range for this position in Nevada is $109,513 to $147,146 per year, based on qualifications. You'll also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, United Health stock options, and a robust relocation program. Responsibilities:
As a Primary Care Physician Lead, your duties will include:
- Collaborating with patients' primary care providers and advising other OC3 providers on complex cases;
Maintaining knowledge of STAR, HEDIS, and medical coding and diagnosis requirements, teaching these to other OC3 providers;
Utilizing evidence-based care processes for efficient lab, radiology, and extended service provider use;
Providing guidance to nursing staff on treatment plans and care coordination;
Diagnosing, treating, and managing patients according to current standards of care;
Requirements:
To qualify for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a valid NP/PA license in Nevada or be eligible for licensure;
Be board certified or working towards certification;
Have greater than three years of experience in providing Medicare yearly exams under a Global Risk/Medicare Advantage Model;
Master coding and documentation skills with the ability to teach others;
Possess fluency in EMR systems and technology.
