Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in the operating room, ensuring a safe and efficient surgical experience.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform various medical procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including medical histories, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Illinois.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the operating room, with a focus on general surgery and trauma.
- Experience with Cerner electronic medical records system.
- Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) or surgical technology (CST).
- Experience with laparoscopic assisted procedures and level I trauma cases.
- Knowledge of emergency management principles, including code response and fire safety.
