Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our team at Shrine Catholic Grade School. As a member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and helping them grow into compassionate and responsible individuals.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging lesson plans that integrate Gospel values into the core curriculum. You will work closely with colleagues to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods of instruction, and use technology to enhance the teaching and learning process. Additionally, you will create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect, rapport, and active student engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school's mission and values.
  • Use differentiated instruction and assessment to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver instruction that is engaging and effective.
  • Use technology to support teaching and learning, including iPads, Clever Touch boards, and online platforms.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, students, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be certified and/or approved for teaching by the Department of Education for the State of Michigan, and hold the appropriate endorsement for the subject(s) you will be teaching. You will also need to be certified by the Department of Evangelization, Catechesis and Schools if you will be teaching religion.
