Job Title: HSE Site Advisor

Job Summary:
The HSE Site Advisor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Cruz policies, state and federal regulations, and industry standards. This role will involve collecting, maintaining, and processing safety data, identifying trends, and reporting incidents. The HSE Site Advisor will also assist with field safety audits, training, and incident response.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of HSE training, safety audits, and incident reports.
  • Update and maintain site emergency plans and contact information.
  • Collect and analyze data on accidents, hazards, and near-miss incidents.
  • Identify and document trends, inform management, and track follow-up actions.
  • Maintain SDS documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct facility audits and follow up on deficiencies.
  • Advise management on performance deficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Counsel and advise employees on unsafe behaviors and incidents.
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with client safety representatives.
  • Conduct new hire safety orientations and assist supervisors with short service employee programs.
  • Coordinate and conduct site safety training, including OSHA 10 HR topics, rigging, crane operator, first aid/CPR, aerial lift, and forklift/loader.
  • Coordinate site online training programs.
  • Issue and instruct employees on proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Participate in weekly safety meetings.
  • Participate or assist with drug and alcohol program, including scheduling, coordination, and/or collection of random and post-incident employee samples.
  • Collect and forward incident report documentation to HSE and site managers.
  • Assist supervisors in completing documentation as needed.
  • Participate in post-incident investigations and provide technical assistance with emergency response.
  • Assist with injury case management, light duty assignment, and maintaining site emergency equipment.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in a safety role and two years in the oil & gas/construction industry, or combination thereof.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
  • Extensive familiarity with trucking and crane operations and industry standards.
  • OSHA 510 or 511 Training, Fall Protection competent person training, Qualified Rigger training, Aerial Lift train-the-trainer course, HAZWOPER, DOT HAZMAT, etc.
  • Safety Trained Supervisor (STS), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), or ability to obtain similar professional certifications.
  • Associates of Applied Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety or similar degree from an accredited institution.
