About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consulting Engineer, Cloud Migration Specialist to join our Migration Services Practice. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping our customers migrate their legacy relational-based applications to a modern cloud-based architecture running on MongoDB.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application Modernization: Collaborate with our Product team to surface application modernization and relational migration use cases, and serve as a trusted partner for delivering productized features.
  • Customer Success: Work closely with customers to understand their migration needs and provide expert guidance on the best approach to achieve their goals.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead the technical aspects of migration projects, including application planning and design, deployment architectures, development and build, integration and release configuration, system testing, production operations, application optimization, and best practices adoption.
  • Communication: Communicate sophisticated technical proposals simply and convincingly to a wide range of audiences, including customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: 5+ years of experience with enterprise-scale software solutions, large-scale software engineering, or consulting services delivery experience preferred. Strong experience in building or supporting applications that interact with relational databases using SQL.
  • Cloud Migration Experience: Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL. Additionally, experience with MongoDB is a plus.
  • Leadership Skills: High motivation for a role that combines deep technical and customer-management dimensions. Excellent customer interaction and presentation skills.
  • Education: Degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
