Firefighter Paramedic

Join the City of El Segundo Fire Department as a Firefighter Paramedic and be part of a team dedicated to providing exceptional emergency medical services and fire protection to our community.

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to fill the position of Firefighter Paramedic. As a Firefighter Paramedic, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, providing medical aid, and fighting fires. You will also be involved in fire prevention and education, as well as participating in training and drills to maintain your skills and stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.

• Respond to emergency calls and provide medical aid to patients
• Fight fires and participate in fire suppression activities
• Participate in fire prevention and education activities
• Participate in training and drills to maintain skills and stay up-to-date with latest techniques and technologies
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of fire equipment and apparatus
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid California Class C Driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record
• Must possess a current EMT-P Paramedic license with the State of California
• Must possess a current Basic Life Support (CPR) for the Healthcare Provider certificate
