Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Manager is accountable for the execution of policies and procedures that guarantee compliance with production quality benchmarks. This role involves monitoring and auditing processes, materials, and product evaluations against set standards while performing ongoing assessments of quality discrepancies and deviations. The manager will enhance processes to align with current and forthcoming regulatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures the delivery of quality products and processes by establishing and enforcing rigorous quality standards and conducting thorough testing of materials and products.
  • Implements best practices and process enhancements to improve product quality.
  • Leads strategic deployment initiatives and translates goals into actionable plans for organizational events and KAIZEN team activities.
  • Oversees daily continuous improvement efforts and guarantees the consistent application of lean principles across all departments.
  • Ensures adherence to industry regulations and standards, including ISO certifications.
  • Coordinates quality system audits, both internal and external.
  • Analyzes, resolves, and reports on quality-related issues, including customer feedback, product returns, purchasing discrepancies, and rework requirements.
  • Collaborates effectively with customers, suppliers, team members, and support functions in a cooperative environment, determining the right tools and methodologies for improvement initiatives to meet business goals.
  • Manages departmental budgets in accordance with established policies and standards.
  • Represents the organization at various internal and external events as needed.
  • Tracks, records, and maintains quality assurance metrics.
  • Demonstrates mutual respect and trust towards colleagues, peers, and clients.
  • Exhibits awareness of collective social responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques, with the ability to adapt and implement new processes in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with ISO and QS systems, including their respective audits.
  • Strong administrative, management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work may involve proximity to moving mechanical components.
  • Potential exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Possible exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
