The Perioperative Nurse Specialist at OakBend Medical Center is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the post-operative phases of the perioperative stay. This role requires a professional nurse who can manage the care of pediatric and adult patients requiring surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the clinical assessment and planning for care of patients in the perioperative setting.
- Implement appropriate nursing techniques and evaluate nursing interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients in the post-operative phases.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
- Minimum of 1 year previous PACU experience.
- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse.
- Certified through the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support.
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
- PALS or ENPC preferred.
