Position Overview:
The Registered Radiology Technologist conducts medical imaging assessments under the supervision of a physician.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensures accurate patient identification, verifies orders, and prepares patients for examinations.
Demonstrates sensitivity to patient needs throughout the imaging process.

Clearly explains the upcoming procedure to patients and their families to promote cooperation and reduce anxiety.

Addresses any patient inquiries.
Conducts radiologic examinations that yield high-quality images while ensuring the safety of both patients and staff.

This is achieved by adhering to established protocols, positioning patients correctly, utilizing equipment effectively, and following radiation safety guidelines.

Employs sterile techniques during invasive procedures.
Identifies urgent patient situations and responds promptly and appropriately.
Completes all necessary documentation accurately, including timestamps and image storage.
Coordinates patient care and communicates essential information to other healthcare providers post-procedure.
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff. Ensures that supplies and equipment are stored efficiently.
Pursues ongoing education and professional development opportunities, particularly in new procedures and technologies.
As needed, assists and instructs students and fellow Radiology Technologists in examination protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment usage.

Minimum Qualifications:
ARRT registration required.
Current Radiologic Technologist license in the state of practice (if applicable).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare providers.
May need to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist within 90 days of employment and perform MA functions as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
IV certification preferred.

Carrying, Hearing/Listening, Lifting, Manual Dexterity, Pushing/Pulling, Seeing, Speaking, Standing, Walking.

Compensation:
The hourly range for this position is competitive and based on experience.
