Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the scheduling of sprinkler installation projects.
  • Collaborate with general contractors or end-user clients to ensure timely project completion.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of design schematics prior to fabrication.
  • Evaluate submittals for dimensions, quantities, and designs to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and compatibility with other equipment.
  • Generate fabrication lists and manage material orders for projects.
  • Facilitate the permitting process for sprinkler plans with relevant authorities.
  • Participate in project meetings and site visits as necessary, conducting site assessments when required.
  • Monitor project financials, identifying potential cost savings and impacts.
  • Review and validate time cards.
  • Document and communicate any discrepancies or unclear information that may affect project coordination or design intent.
  • Maintain communication with field foremen throughout the design phase, noting any necessary adjustments resulting from coordination efforts.
Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of experience in fire sprinkler installation.
  • A minimum of 3 years in project management roles.
  • Possession of CSA2 certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days if expired).
  • Familiarity with NFPA 13, NFPA 20, NFPA 25, and FM Global Standards.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Fire Sprinkler Design, including Wet, Dry, Preaction, and Deluge systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
