The ideal candidate will be proactive and possess extensive experience in project scheduling, material procurement, and collaboration with authorities for sprinkler plan approvals. This role requires the ability to monitor project financials effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the scheduling of sprinkler installation projects.
- Collaborate with general contractors or end-user clients to ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct thorough reviews of design schematics prior to fabrication.
- Evaluate submittals for dimensions, quantities, and designs to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and compatibility with other equipment.
- Generate fabrication lists and manage material orders for projects.
- Facilitate the permitting process for sprinkler plans with relevant authorities.
- Participate in project meetings and site visits as necessary, conducting site assessments when required.
- Monitor project financials, identifying potential cost savings and impacts.
- Review and validate time cards.
- Document and communicate any discrepancies or unclear information that may affect project coordination or design intent.
- Maintain communication with field foremen throughout the design phase, noting any necessary adjustments resulting from coordination efforts.
- At least 10 years of experience in fire sprinkler installation.
- A minimum of 3 years in project management roles.
- Possession of CSA2 certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days if expired).
- Familiarity with NFPA 13, NFPA 20, NFPA 25, and FM Global Standards.
- Strong technical knowledge of Fire Sprinkler Design, including Wet, Dry, Preaction, and Deluge systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
