Essential Qualifications:
- Expertise in molecular biology, including nucleic acid and protein extraction and analysis, as well as cell culture techniques.
- Possession of a Master's degree with relevant academic experience or a minimum of two years of professional laboratory experience post-bachelor's degree.
Role Responsibilities:
- In this primarily laboratory-focused role, you will engage in pioneering technology advancements in RNA Therapeutics and Genetic Medicine.
- Your work will involve interdisciplinary collaboration, utilizing both biological and chemical principles to foster innovation in oligonucleotide drug discovery.
- Daily tasks will include designing and conducting experiments, meticulously documenting findings, and effectively communicating results.
Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a closely related technical field.
- A minimum of two years of hands-on laboratory experience following undergraduate studies, or a Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
Desirable Attributes:
- A Master's degree in Life Sciences, molecular biology, or cellular biology is preferred.
- Experience in diagnostic laboratories; background in research or laboratory technician roles is advantageous.
- Proficient in molecular and cellular biology methodologies, including but not limited to siRNA and mRNA transfection, RNA extraction, and RNA analysis, such as RNA sequencing library preparation.
- Experience with mammalian cell culture and cell-based assays is essential; familiarity with primary or immune cells is a plus.
- Prior experience in drug discovery, analytical work, or laboratory-based roles is beneficial.
- Ability to independently design experiments, operate flow cytometers or high-content imaging systems, and analyze data.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring high-quality documentation and results.
- Capability to set objectives, plan experiments, conduct literature reviews, develop new assays, generate innovative ideas, and collaborate effectively with team members on daily experiments.
- A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, demonstrating a willingness to learn and contribute to a dynamic, high-performing cross-functional team.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to present findings in team meetings and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
