Job Overview

Position Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep of our facilities and equipment. This position may involve HVAC tasks and other specialized maintenance duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance on both the interior and exterior of the facility, including fixtures, appliances, and machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems and machinery, demonstrating knowledge in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) utilizing basic and ladder logic.
  • Understand and implement Confined Space Requirements, along with Permitting and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) protocols.
  • Plan and execute Preventative Maintenance schedules while maintaining logs for all facilities and equipment.
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of third-party contractors engaged in maintenance or repair work.
  • Inspect safety equipment such as ladders, dock doors, lights, and access points to ensure proper functionality.
  • Manage battery changing operations for powered industrial equipment.
  • Utilize a range of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment effectively.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Additional Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned by the direct Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in maintenance and repair is required, with a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or other mechanical fields is preferred.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
