Job Title: Operational Excellence Consultant in Manufacturing
Location: Remote
Duration: Contract Position
Hours: Standard Business Hours (Mon - Fri)
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate

Job Overview:

  • Drive peak operational efficiency and effective use of manufacturing resources in a production facility, focusing on all facets of Operational Excellence.
  • Implement methodologies and tools to enhance operational practices; develop metrics for assessing and improving plant performance. Evaluate and refine organizational structures for optimal effectiveness.
  • Analyze facility capabilities and operational environment (including technology, systems, quality, cost, efficiency, yield, and logistics) to propose enhancements. Initiate process improvement strategies that benefit the client and stakeholders by managing supply chain functions and collaborating with various teams.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate and facility standards to maintain consistent performance measurement, monitoring, and enhancement while protecting personnel, products, and assets.
  • Assist in optimizing plant complexity, layout, and design; perform workload assessments.
  • Establish performance standards and metrics. Aid the facility in utilizing performance indicators effectively.
  • Formulate continuous improvement initiatives and projects by converting business goals into practical, actionable plans.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Engineering, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience in problem-solving as a Continuous Improvement leader and mentor (DMAIC, Value Stream Mapping, etc.).
  • Background in business transformation and process enhancement.
  • Experience in training and mentoring on management practices and performance measures.
  • At least Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (company programs accepted).
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP applications.
  • Experience in warehouse optimization is a significant advantage.
