Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pathologist Surveyor to join our team. As a Pathologist Surveyor, you will be responsible for evaluating the quality of care and services provided by healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission standards and accreditation requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate the quality of care and services provided by healthcare facilities, including clinical laboratory programs, to ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and accreditation requirements.
- Conduct on-site surveys and evaluations of healthcare facilities to assess their compliance with Joint Commission standards and accreditation requirements.
- Provide education and consultation to healthcare facilities on Joint Commission standards and accreditation requirements.
- Develop and implement plans to improve the quality of care and services provided by healthcare facilities.
- Collaborate with other Joint Commission staff to ensure consistency and quality in survey and evaluation processes.
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree.
- Board certification in Clinical and Anatomic Pathology.
- At least five years of recent clinical experience, including at least two years in management, preferably laboratory, and two years demonstrated responsibility for oversight, decision-making, management, and improvement in histopathology and cytology.
- Demonstrated knowledge of pathology industry, including trends, performance measurement, and improvement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of compliance requirements related to CLIA'88.
- Demonstrate general knowledge in areas of Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
The successful candidate must be able to observe, in real time and without slowing or otherwise interrupting the progress of all applicable types of ongoing health care treatment. Standing for long periods of time, walking lengthy distances, lifting, climbing, stooping, pulling, and pushing to adequately inspect and observe all medical facilities, equipment, and procedures.
Must be able to engage in extensive travel as set forth above, including driving a car to remote locations, flying on small airplanes and into small airports, traveling in all types of weather conditions, etc.
Successful applicants for domestic positions that require travel to a customer site must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
