Heavy Equipment Technician with CDL

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic with a valid CDL license to join our team at People Ellipsis Partners, LLC. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on company equipment and heavy machinery in a safe, efficient, and quality-focused manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the upkeep, maintenance, and repair work on heavy construction equipment including bulldozers, cranes, graders, and other equipment.
- Adjust equipment and repair and/or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools.
- Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer's specifications.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
- Service attachments and tools such as blades, ploughs, winches, and side booms.
- Complete required inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to maximize safety, productivity, and lifespan.
- Craft thorough reports and records in a timely manner and provide final documentation to upper management.
- Monitor equipment for compliance with prescribed operating and safety standards.
- Participate in general shop operations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Experience with Directional Drills, crushers, and cranes a plus.
- Experience with CAT preferred.
- Ability to read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Heavy equipment maintenance experience required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have a valid CDL license and DOT physical card and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
