The Aircraft Fueling Technician is integral to our operations, delivering exceptional service to both crew and passengers on the ground. This role involves fueling and positioning aircraft, assisting with baggage handling, and maintaining effective communication with aviation customer service representatives via radio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage aircraft movement, placement, fueling, and storage.
  • Oversee fuel quality control, disposal, and related documentation.
  • Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of crew vehicles.
  • Ensure the upkeep of facilities.
  • Provide excellent customer service and promote our services.
  • Participate in monthly crew meetings.
  • Engage in annual recurrent training.

Essential Competencies:

  • Strong customer focus and outgoing personality.
  • Effective communication skills with customers and colleagues in person, over the phone, and via radio.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain an insurable driving record.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred.
Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Line Service Manager.

Work Environment:

This role requires outdoor work in various weather conditions and involves direct interaction with both stationary and moving aircraft. Employees may encounter hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery.
  • Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
  • Physical activities such as bending, lifting, walking, stooping, squatting, gripping, and climbing ladders.
Position Type and Hours:

This is a non-exempt position that requires shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is anticipated for this role.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in customer service within the service industry is preferred.
  • Prior experience in aircraft ground handling is advantageous.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Entry-level position.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Commitment to a drug-free workplace, including pre-employment and random screenings.
