Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to care.
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition to home or further care.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting open communication, teamwork, and a culture of safety.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in a peri-anesthesia or critical care environment.
- Completion of a peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training course is preferred.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
