Sports Medicine Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sports Medicine Teacher to join our team at Jasper County School District. As a Sports Medicine Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students the principles and practices of sports medicine, including injury prevention, treatment, and management.

The Sports Medicine Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans that meet the needs of students, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, and assessing student progress. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports medicine, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students and align with the district's curriculum standards.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in sports medicine education.

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• South Carolina State Certification in High School teaching or CTE certification.
• Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
• Experience in teaching sports medicine or a related field.

• Masters degree in Education or related field.
• Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.

The Sports Medicine Teacher will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, interacting with students, parents, and colleagues on a regular basis. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances.

Travel with students to internships and clinical experiences may be required.
