About the Job:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Receiving Coordinator at Gourmet Caterers, Inc. in Natick, MA.

Job Summary:

The Receiving Coordinator will be responsible for managing the receipt and storage of food products, supplies, and equipment at our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the receipt of food purchases, paper goods, equipment, and other deliveries
  • Review purchase orders and vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Conduct quality control checks on received product to prevent damage and contamination
  • Manage the organization and cleanliness of dry storage areas, cold storage areas, and loading dock
  • Collaborate with cooks, chefs, and front-of-house colleagues to ensure efficient product location and retrieval
  • Update product inventory as items are received and complete any necessary paperwork

Requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
  • Experience in fast-paced workplace food services or busy public café
  • Knowledgeable about kitchen receiving tasks and processes
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more repeatedly
  • Willingness to spend time outdoors in inclement weather
  • Willingness to work in refrigeration and freezer areas while organizing inventory
  • Strong math skills and experience with Microsoft Excel
  • ServSafe and Allergen training certifications required

Work Environment:

  • Estimated 8-9 hour shifts, Monday-Friday, 5:00am-2:00pm
  • Reports to the Purchasing Chef and collaborates with various teams

Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience
