- Assist RNs and Providers in prioritizing patient care needs and adjusting plans as necessary.
- Recognize subtle signs and symptoms of potential or actual drug reactions and inform RNs and Providers promptly.
- Document patient care delivered and response to care accurately and thoroughly.
- Assist individuals or groups of patients and their families in promoting healthy lifestyles for positive outcomes.
- Exercise skill in influencing and communicating with difficult-to-care-for patients and their families.
- Participate in committees and task forces to improve overall care delivery and patient satisfaction.
- Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
- Full, active, current, and unrestricted licensure as a licensed practical or vocational nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or District of Columbia.
- English language proficiency.
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in preventive health management in a clinical setting.
- Self-directed and autonomous in practice with demonstrated leadership skills.
This position requires visual acuity, keen hearing, clear distinctive speech, and manual dexterity. The incumbent may be exposed to infected patients and contaminated materials and may be required to don protective clothing in isolation situations or operative/invasive procedures.
The incumbent must be a mature, flexible, sensible individual, capable of working effectively in stressful situations, and able to shift priorities based on patient needs.
