Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant I/II to join our team at the Ventura County Medical Center and Santa Paula Hospital. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide direct patient care and support to our professional staff, ensuring the highest level of care and compassion for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for procedures, and assisting with daily living activities.
  • Work collaboratively with our nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care and support.
  • Perform routine patient care duties, such as passing bedpans, operating mechanical lifts, and transporting patients.
  • Chart patient vital signs, intake, and output, and report any unusual circumstances or changes in patient condition.
  • Provide limited clerical support and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Three (3) months of experience in a licensed nursing facility or other comparable work experience in a healthcare-related field.
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certificate prior to the first day of employment and maintain it thereafter.
  • Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA Certificate) issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs (desirable).
