About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at SSM Health DePaul Hospital in St. Louis. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanners to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare and position patients for examinations, ensuring accurate and safe procedures.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, transferring images as required.
  • Administer contrast media and medications within the scope of practice and applicable regulations.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
  • Maintain equipment functionality, reporting any issues to relevant personnel.
  • Contribute to a clean and organized department, including procedure rooms and storage areas.
  • Work in a safe and alert manner, adhering to established protocols.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree and MRI certification.
  • 1 year of experience preferred, but new graduates welcome.
Physical Demands
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near and far.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech for oral communication.
  • Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and alarms.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent lifting/moving of patients.
  • Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Rare kneeling and sitting.
Professional Certifications
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
  • ARRT-MR Magnetic Resonance Imaging - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Work Environment

This is a PRN/Per Diem Shift position, working in a dynamic and supportive environment at SSM Health DePaul Hospital.
