Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, driven by innovation and customer trust. We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in designing, developing, testing, and deploying large-scale software running across AWS data centers.

We integrate hardware, firmware, application software, and services to deliver new virtualized and bare-metal compute platforms for companies from startups through the Fortune 500. As a member of our EC2 Nitro team, you will work closely with technical teams to curate the team's roadmap, drive system architecture, and spearhead best practices that enable a quality product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, testing, and deploying large-scale software
  • Collaborating with EC2 teams to curate the team's roadmap
  • Driving system architecture and best practices
  • Coaching and developing junior engineers

About the Team

Within EC2 Nitro, we own instance-facing services including exception services, DNS, RusTick, Windows activation, and infrastructure to launch and live update them. This software runs on Nitro cards installed in all EC2 Nitro hosts.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Amazon is a total compensation company, and dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
