Tugger Operator

Job Summary:

The Tugger Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating industrial equipment to move materials and products within a warehouse or manufacturing environment. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate industrial lift and/or tugger to assist in loading or moving materials for yardage
• Bale cardboard, run a trash compactor, and operate a tow tractor in order to keep production running smoothly
• Use computer, reads work order, or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
• Load materials and/or buggies into trailers and/or trucks
• Install strapping or chains to prevent shifting or damage while in transit
• Print necessary labels and manifests
• Transports buggies from work sites to designated area
• Load and unloads full or empty buggies
• Use the computer to keep a current list of available buggies
• Perform janitorial duties such as emptying trash cans, cleaning restrooms, and scrubbing floors

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No experience required and on the job training provided
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

• One (1) year of similar work experience preferred
