About this Opportunity:

This position is responsible for overseeing the preparation and serving of nutritional meals to a large group of individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of the group, while also ensuring that food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Clean, cook, and prepare a variety of foods and beverages using kitchen equipment, utensils, and supplies in accordance with acceptable and economical cooking methods.
  • Ensure that enough food is prepared based on the number of people to be served, and that food is prepared promptly as scheduled.
  • Serve food and beverages in a presentable manner, and prepare plates for infants or persons requiring additional assistance.
  • Plan and purchase food and supplies necessary for the preparation and serving of nutritional meals.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen appliances and utensils, and order food and kitchen supplies in an economical manner.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, and one year experience cooking food for large groups.
  • ServSafe Certification.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
