The successful candidate will ensure that the premises and its services align with the organization's requirements, oversee maintenance personnel, liaise with service providers, and implement best practices in facility oversight. This role is vital for sustaining a secure, efficient, and well-operating work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize, plan, and supervise all maintenance and repair tasks for the organization's premises.
  • Create and execute maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance initiatives to guarantee facility durability and operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure the facility adheres to all pertinent health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Lead, train, and manage the maintenance and cleaning teams, cultivating a positive and productive work atmosphere.
  • Conduct regular performance assessments, offer constructive feedback, and support professional growth.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration among maintenance and cleaning personnel.
  • Monitor expenses related to facility upkeep and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
  • Prepare and manage the facilities maintenance budget, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Ensure that all equipment and systems operate efficiently and effectively, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with other departments to support their operational needs and resolve facility-related issues.
  • Plan, execute, and manage facility enhancement projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and to required quality standards.
  • Manage external contractors, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and policies.
  • Develop and implement emergency response strategies for facilities-related incidents, including natural disasters and equipment failures.
  • Coordinate emergency repairs to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Conduct regular emergency drills and ensure staff are trained in emergency protocols.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • At least 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management and cost control.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a history of fostering a positive work environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in utilizing facilities management software and tools.
  • Certification in facilities management (e.g., CFM, FMP) is advantageous.
Working Conditions:
  • This role necessitates a daily on-site presence.
  • May require occasional evening or weekend work to address emergencies or complete projects.
