Job Summary

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining and restoring floors in assigned locations. This role requires the operation of industrial floor care equipment and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive and efficient attitude towards customers, clients, and coworkers.
  • Anticipate and respond to customer needs.
  • Perform hard floor care tasks, including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, and spray cleaning.
  • Operate industrial floor care equipment as assigned and according to schedule.
  • Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
  • Properly process municipal solid waste, infectious, and pharmaceutical waste.
  • Remove trash, recyclables, and soiled linen from assigned work areas.
  • Follow all Aramark safety standards, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
  • Adhere to Aramark appearance standards and wear required uniforms and personal protective equipment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role.
  • Knowledge of floor care equipment and use.
  • Ability to read and write to facilitate communication with others.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.

Physical Demands

This role may require physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing. Uniforms and personal protective equipment may be required.
