Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housing Specialist to join our team at the Center for Immigrant & Refugee Advancement. The successful candidate will assist in securing safe and affordable housing for newly arrived refugees in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with landlords and clients to locate and secure suitable housing options.
  • Explain leasing agreements and housing procedures to refugee families in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Address minor maintenance issues and educate clients on rent payment and utilities.
  • Provide accurate case notes and reports for the Housing Coordinator.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree highly preferred.
  • Excellent English communication skills required; knowledge of additional languages preferred.
  • Proficiency with Office 365 and data management software required.
  • Strong preference for personal or professional experience working with refugees and immigrants.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
